The double-track Imberg Tunnel is part of the high-speed rail link Wendlingen-Ulm.
The tunnel has been designed with watertight concrete with a total length of 499 metres in a karstic rock formation. Cut and Cover tunnels on both portals (79 and 200 metres) connect to a tunnel build by conventional tunnelling methods.
